About Norwegian

There are some 5 million speakers of Norwegian, mainly living in Norway – but also in other parts of Scandinavia (Denmark and Sweden), Europe (Germany, Spain, and the UK), and further afield in the USA. As a Germanic language, Norwegian is relatively easy for English speakers to learn not just because it has hundreds of recognizable words but also because the grammar and the sentence structure are significantly closer to English than either German or Dutch.
